Lightweight cellular concrete in Utah

Low-density, flowable fill for engineered fill, bridge approaches and void fill. Placed fast, with no compaction needed.

Light fill that places itself

Lightweight cellular concrete replaces heavy soil or aggregate where weight is a problem: over poor soils, buried utilities and structures, and behind bridge abutments. It's pumped in, flows into every corner and hardens without compaction.

Common uses

  • Engineered fill over poor or settling soils
  • Bridge approaches and abutment backfill
  • Load reduction over utilities and structures
  • Void fill in hard-to-reach areas
  • Recessed exterior decks and breezeways

Submittals

We provide the lightweight cellular concrete submittal package for your engineer. If they need additional documentation, we'll get it.

Cellular concrete FAQ

What is lightweight cellular concrete?

Cellular concrete is cement, water and a foaming agent mixed into a low-density, flowable fill. It weighs a fraction of normal concrete or soil, so it reduces loads on what's underneath.

Does cellular concrete need compaction?

No. It flows into place and fills voids on its own, which saves time and equipment compared with compacted fill.

What classes do you place?

We place Class II through IV densities and provide the submittal package your engineer needs.
